The band system

HUB Levels & Bands

Five bands, White through Orange. Bands give athletes clear goals, visible progress, and safe skill gating — so nobody skips the fundamentals that keep training safe.

The ladder

Foundations to mastery. Each band builds on the one below it.

BAND 01

White

The starting band. Body basics, safe landings, and comfort on the equipment. Everyone begins here.

BAND 02

Yellow

Core movements coming together — vaults, precisions, and controlled jumps with real form.

BAND 03

Green

Stringing moves into lines and transitions, with the strength to repeat them cleanly.

BAND 04

Blue

Advanced technique and bigger obstacles — the band where athletes really start to flow.

BAND 05

Orange — HUB Mastery

The top band. Mastery of the HUB curriculum, coaching-ready movement, and ownership of your own training.

Exact skills and benchmarks for each band are being finalized — the summaries above describe intent, not the tested requirements.

Common questions

Do I lose my band?

No — a band you earn is yours.

How long does each band take?

It depends on the athlete and how often they train — bands are earned by skill, not by time served.

What if my kid is between bands?

Coaches place every athlete in the group that fits, and they train toward the next band from there.

How do athletes earn a new band?

Coaches assess skills in class all season, and athletes test on Upgrade Nights. Hit the requirements and the band is yours.

Do adults use the band system?

Bands are for our youth and teen classes. Adults train in all-levels sessions and progress at their own pace — no formal testing.

Is my kid stuck if they don't upgrade right away?

Not at all. Bands mark milestones, but every class moves everyone forward — coaches keep challenging each athlete right where they are.
