Parkour 101
What to Wear and Bring to Parkour Class
No special gear needed. Here is a simple checklist of what to wear and what to bring to your first parkour class.

The good news: you do not need to buy anything special to start parkour. Here is a simple checklist.
What to wear
- Athletic clothes you can move in. Stretchy shorts or pants and a t-shirt work well.
- Clean, flat-soled sneakers. Rubber-soled shoes with decent grip are ideal. Many athletes like a flexible sole.
- Nothing loose or dangling. Avoid hoodie strings, jewelry, and baggy pockets full of items.
What to bring
- A water bottle
- A small snack for longer sessions
- Hair ties if you have long hair
- A completed waiver before your first visit
What to leave at home
Phones, watches, and jewelry are best left in a bag or at home. Coaches will help you find a spot for your belongings.
Do not buy gear first
Come try a class in what you already own. If you decide to stick with it, you can upgrade shoes later. Rep your gym with some HUB apparel if you like.
